History of NPower Texas

NPower Texas was established with the lead founding support of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and came about as the result of a study conducted by Accenture, in partnership with the NPower Network.

Headquartered in Dallas, NPower Texas opened our Dallas office in February 2008 and quickly began providing technology solutions to local nonprofits - all with the goal of ensuring organizational stability, improving nonprofit effectiveness, and increasing community impact.

Thanks to additional founding support from AT&T, Microsoft, Rackspace, and Valero, NPower Texas currently serves nonprofits in Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio.

Our mission is to be the catalyst for Texas nonprofit organizations to better accomplish their community goals through strategic and affordable use of smart technology.

We are passionate about the work of 501(c)(3) nonprofits. Every NPower Texas service offering, strategy and value is informed by and evaluated on what helps nonprofits succeed at achieving their missions.

We are committed to providing the highest quality, ensuring that all nonprofits can access and afford superior technology assistance rivaling that of the private sector.

Our goal is to reduce the challenge of managing and using technology so that nonprofits can focus on what they do best. We believe that we can be the trusted partner that non-profits turn to for quality and affordable technology.

History of the NPower Network

The first NPower opened its doors in Seattle in 1999, providing hands-on technology assistance — from classroom training to strategic technology planning to web site and database development — to nonprofit organizations in the Puget Sound. In response to the need for similar services in other communities, NPower Seattle partnered with Microsoft Corporation in 2000 to develop other NPower programs around the country — and the NPower Network was born.
