Enhancing Communication Around Central Texas’s Education Crisis
NPower Texas provided a complete redesign to the KDK-Harman Foundation's Web site.
Challenge
As the first component to its new communications strategy, the KDK-Harman wanted to give their Web site a fresh, clean look with functionality that allowed for more content, better organization, and improved navigation. The Foundation also wanted to be able to update the site adding new features and additional content on an as needed basis without having to rely on IT staff to carry this out.
Solution
The Foundation enlisted the expertise of NPower Texas to design and implement its new Web site. NPower Texas developed the site with a more sophisticated, user friendly, and attractive appearance. The site features drop down navigation and a site map, making it easier for grantees, public officials, and the general public to locate they information need.
NPower Texas designed the site with a content management system that allows non-technical staff members to maintain and update it.
Impact
The Web site now serves as an effective resource, allowing visitors to learn more about Central Texas's education crisis and what KDK-Harman and its partners are doing to combat it along with promoting the Foundation's strategy of encouraging giving.
"NPower Texas exceeded our expectations with the redesign of our website. It is very easy to navigate which was crucial since we have so much content. The look and feel is "amazing", as one of our grantees stated. The scrolling photos capture the essence of what we represent. We have been receiving many compliments since launching the facelift."
